CHANNEL 4 - A GUIDE TO AMERICAN FOOTBALL #C4ROOKIE
Channel 4 continued it's coverage of American Football on Sunday night with it's coverage of Super Bowl XLIX.
With American Football growing in popularity in the UK and talks of a UK based franchise, the British public are starting to take American Football to heart.
Cub Studio was approached by Channel 4 with a view to airing "A Guide to American Football", our BASS award winning animation. We updated the teams strips for Super Bowl XLIX and eagerly awaited the pre game build up.
Whilst many companies reportedly played $4.5million dollars per 30 seconds of TV ad time, Cub Studio received "a shout out" from our friend at Channel 4 just after our animation aired.
Instantly www.cubstudio.com was awash with visitors - here's a snap shot of the power of Super Bowl advertising. An hourly break down of Cub Studio site visitors since the beginning of January 2015.
Twitter also exploded with NFL fans new and old sharing the animation and proclaiming their admiration for it.
#c4rookie even trended on Twitter peaking at #5 as the most Tweeted hash tag globally as the Super Bowl was just about to start. Kudos to the Channel4 social media team for executing a great social media plan.
